The Parent’s Guide to Educational Technology

Image
The Parent’s Guide to Educational Technology Parent Guide General 1. Children use devices like smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, and laptops at school and they also often use a vocabulary full of technology jargon that may seem completely foreign. One reason is that both tech-savvy and tech-hesitant parents are not always familiar with the world of education technology, or “edtech.” The truth is that education technology is an important part of education today and parents should feel excited – not intimidated – by what their children are able to learn and do. Definition of EDITECH 2. Education technology, or “edtech,” is the study and practice of teaching and learning processes and strategies that incorporate devices, apps, programs, and media. Edtech can be used in traditional classrooms, at home, and as part of learning in almost any setting. Overview of Editech 3. This guide provides an overview of edtech for parents. SLOW AND STEADY DOES NOT WIN THE RACE

Image
SLOW AND STEADY DOES NOT WIN THE RACE huda video General 1. With due respect my humble submission - How many times have we heard the phrase 'Slow and Steady Wins the Race' trumpeted as a recipe for success. We all know, it comes from the fable about a race between a tortoise and a hare. The race is an obvious mismatch, as anyone can see. Because of his blazing speed, the hare makes occasional pit stops along the course, believing that he can always make up his lost time later in the race and still win. The tortoise, on the other hand, believes that persistence is his most valuable tool. So he keeps up a steady pace throughout. The hubris of the hare is is downfall and the tortoise eventually crosses the finish line victorious because of his consistency of effort. Over time, this fable and its corresponding moral has been parroted by almost everyone of us exhorting listeners that 'Slow and Steady' is More Important Than Raw Ability'.  Prin...

BEST AND AMAZING LESSONS THAT CAN BE DRAWN TO LEARN FROM OBAMA'S LEGACY

Image
BEST AND AMAZING LESSONS THAT CAN BE DRAWN TO LEARN FROM OBAMA'S LEGACY Barack Obama General 1. Many discussed the hallmarks of his administration such as healthcare reform, the elimination of Osama bin Laden and diplomacy with Cuba etc. Weighing these achievements against the deficits and lost opportunities that critics associate with Obama’s handling of foreign policy and the economy. Experts were gleaned from observing Obama’s character and qualities so as to bring out the accurate lessons learnt from his tenure as president of US. I have made an endeavour to collect and compile those with inclusion of my thought points.  Experience and Growth 2. As we learnt from his interview that Mr. Obama said he doesn't think he has changed basically much over the eight years of presidency -- as a man or as a president -- but he has grown. He said, 'I think my basic character is unchanged, and Michelle and close friends of mine who've known me ...

Hillary Clinton’s Extraordinary Concession, Speech Presidential Election - 2016 And a Short Analysis HILLARY CLINTON SPEECH ITSELF 1. Thank you. Thank you all. Thank you. Thank you all have much.[Applause] Thank you. Thank you all very much. Thank you so much. A very rowdy group. Thank you, my friends. Thank you. Thank you. 2. Thank you so very much for being here. I love you all, too. Last night I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country. I hope that he will be a successful president for all Americans. This is not the outcome we wanted or we worked so hard for, and I'm sorry we did not win this election for the values we share and the vision we hold for our country. But I feel pride and gratitude for this wonderful campaign that we built together. This vast, diverse, creative, unruly, energized campaign. You represent the best of America, and being your candidate has been one of the greatest honors of my life. 3. I know h...

AGE - CRIME CURVE INCLUDING CRIMINAL JUSTICE IN THE SOCIETY AND LIFE SOLUTION

Image
AGE - CRIME CURVE INCLUDING CRIMINAL JUSTICE IN THE SOCIETY AND LIFE SOLUTION AGE CRIME CURVE General 1. The age crime curve, increasing to a peak in the teenage years and then decreasing, is well-known. Less well-known is that it seems to reflect variations in prevalence rather than incidence. Age crime curves for individuals do not resemble the aggregate curve since incidence does not change consistently between the onset and the termination of criminal careers. This has major implications for criminal justice policy since the greatest residual length of criminal careers, and hence the greatest potential incapacitative effect, may be between ages thirty and forty, not at the peak age. Different types of offenses peak at different ages; this probably reflects crime switching rather than the replacement of one group of offenders by another. There is little specialization in offending, but specialization does increase with age. Age effects need to be separated from pe...
