Super Smart

General

1. Getting smart isn't just something you're born with. You can make yourself smarter with hard work, honesty and integrity. To be smart, exercise your brain with creative tasks, develop your skills, learn as much as you can and continually strive to widen your horizons and visions by keeping an open mind and stepping outside your comfort zone as well as thinking outside the box. Here are few important ways to get super smart:

Study More

The more you read the more you learn. Reading definitely seems essential. Studying a lot is the secret to intelligence. The smartest people in the world tend to read every single day. You may not always enjoy it, but reading will open up your mind to a variety of new ideas and experiences. Keep your reading diverse by reading different books.

Educate Yourself

You should aim to educate yourself. Educating means understanding of the world around you. The truly brilliant mind however, always questions their world and tries to make sense out of it. That is the secret to genius. You can even learn from your life experiences, that sometimes people calls unschooling. Follow interesting voices on blogs, so you'll always learn something new when you look at that.

Read Newspapers

It will help you become more aware of the important things happening around the word. You' will learn to form your own opinions and connect the dots between seemingly unrelated things. You'll also have a lot more to talk with friends and relatives.

Do New Things

After dropping out of Reed college, the Apple founder Steve had a lot of time on his hands and wandered into a calligraphy course. It seemed irrelevant at the time, but the design skills he learned were later baked into the first Macintosh Computer. You never know what will be useful ahead of time. You just need to try new things and wait to see how they connect with the rest of your experiences later on. Steve said - you can't connect the dots looking forward but you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.

Foster Creativity

Painting and drawing in preschool was not only a fun activity. it helped open up the mind to new possibilities and ways of solving problems. An artistic mindset creates new opportunities to find new solutions, fresh inspiration, and peaceful confidence. So foster your creativity that is going to make you smarter in some way.

Socialize

Socialize as much as possible. Meet people you like and new people as often as possible. Try to have a lot of friends and to create new friendships. That's how you learn new things and ideas and get smarter. No two people share the same life experiences. Everyone interprets information uniquely, stores memories differently, and digests daily life with their own intellectual flare. This makes collaboration a necessity for brain health. Although we are all inclined to think our method is the best approach, gaining perspective from another person helps our brain consider new solutions and new techniques for both personal and professional issues.

Regular Physical Activity

One of the keystone habits that leads to transformation of other areas of life and that is the most powerful habits to change in other patterns is regular physical activity. Study shows that physical activity may lead to refresh your mind to learn more and get smarter.

Be Nice

Be nice and positive. Positive people attract others and negative repels. Practicing kindness in the face of challenges is a sign of maturity and intelligence. Remember that you also have a lot to learn from other people. Being kind to them will allow you access to their lives and experience.

Develop New Habits

Developing new habits is the essence of becoming smart. Getting smart and working to instill a new habit can feel daunting at first, especially if you focus on the entire task at hand. To avoid feeling intimidated, keep it simple. Break your goal into simple, double steps. Instead of trying to change everything at once, focus on doing one thing consistently and get smart with that goal in mind. There's nothing wrong with not knowing the whys or the hows. Everybody has something that they don't know. But by developing a healthy habit about asking when you don't know something, you'll find yourself getting smarter and smarter.

Challenge Yourself

Try to always challenge your own ideas and points of view. It is a critical thinking and open mindness booster. One must exercise the brain on a daily basis, pushing it just beyond its current capabilities. One should not pursue goals that are easily achievable. With enough focus and stretching, the brain can truly surprise people. Underestimating yourself holds you back from success. When people begin believing in their abilities, they often go beyond what they thought was possible.

Think Smart

Go out of your comfort zone as much as possible. Take risks. Failing is very important in the process of learning. Think about how to reduce poverty, how to solve a daily problem you have, interesting movie ideas, or anything. It doesn't matter what subject your ideas fall into, as long as you're working your brain and your idea muscles. Your list might even lead to a new startup idea or writing subject.

Prayer and Meditate

Prayer and meditation yields impressive results for the brain. People who struggle with fear, anxiety, depression, and other mental ailments should experiment with prayer and meditation to calm themselves and develop a stronger sense of focus. Controlling and calming the brain is as powerful as enhancing activity through instruments and puzzles.

Conclusion

You can become smart by actively focusing on enhancing the skills that aid intelligence. Increasing your intelligence may seem difficult, but as long as you have willingness to learn, it's very well possible.
