1. You must analyze and find out the root cause of the opponents need to navigate and get to a solution. Take a moment to think critically for those parts of the insult you find to be true, acknowledge that honestly. It is OK to be imperfect. It is acceptable to evaluate and work on them. But for those parts of the insult that you don’t find true, remind yourself that they are not factual and do not reflect you.

Returning Insult

2. It can be tempting to match insult for insult. But it is best served by refusing to engage whoever insulted you. However depending on the situation, you may return the insult in a humorous manner in a cynical sarcasm manner. This would be indirect and make them feel. Always be positive. Be yourself. Don't compare yourself others. Remember positive people attract others while negative repels.

What do you need? etc intelligently. You can also tell him/her to mind his own business or to respect others feelings and emotion in an attractive manner. You may also make them understand how it discomforts and makes other feels. But try not to react angrily, that is not assertive behavior. If so you are likely to loose if you do so.
