Donald Trump is 'Part of the Coverup' in Brutal Killing of Saudi Journalist Jamal Khashoggi - Ms Clinton

1. Saudi columnist for The Washington Post Jamal Khashoggi was murdered inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on October 2. His body was cut into pieces, brutally and inhumanly dismembered which is impossible to commit for any human being. His body hasn't been found yet. US former democratic presidential candidate Ms Clinton has suggested that President Donald Trump is 'part of the cover up as to what happened' in the killing of Dissident Washington Post Journalist Khashoggi. The former secretary of state took jabs at the Trump administration’s response to the killing of Jamal Khashoggi said during a speaking tour stop in Toronto. 


Clinton Accused Donald 

2. Ms Clinton accused US President Donald Trump of being complicit in hiding the truth about the death of Saudi journalist Khashoggi, she said during a speech in Toranto that goes like this as fols:

3. 'We have a president who is part of the cover up as to what happened in that consulate or embassy when Khashoggi was murdered'. She also suggested that 'Donald Trump and Those Closest to Him' have their 'Own Personal Commercial Interest' in concealing the incident around Jamal Khashoggi's brutal killing. She alleged that Trump's administration's response to the death is intended to protect the interests of Mr Donald and his colleagues. 

Saudi Crown Prince Involved in Killing

4. Mr Khashoggi - a Washington Post columnist and a vocal critic of the Saudi Arabian royal family - was Killed brutally when he visited Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey last month. Earlier this month, the CIA reportedly assessed to a high level of confidence that it is 'blindly obvious' that Saudi Crown Prince MBS was involved in the decision to kill Mr Khashoggi. Saudi Arabia has repeatedly denied any involvement from the crown prince, with the country's public prosecutor blaming a 'rogue' group of would be kidnappers.

5. Saudi officials denied involvement of the royal family, specifically of the crown prince in Khashoggi's killing. Riyadh insists that he was murdered as a result of a 'rogue operation'. The Saudi Prosecutor's Office announced that in total, some 21 individuals were arrested following the investigation of the murder, with 11 of them already facing charges. Five of those charged face the death penalty if they are found guilty of the charges.

6. Mr Trump has disregarded the CIA assessment and demanded that the investigation into Mr Khashoggi’s death continues. Mr Trump also defended the Saudi crown prince during a press conference last Tuesday. 'I hate the crime and I hate what is done and I hate the cover up,' he said. 'And I will tell you this, the crown prince hates it more than I do.' Mr Trump and administration officials have said it will continue its alliance with Saudi Arabia, citing that sanctions or penalties against Saudi Arabia could affect oil prices and arms deals with the US. 'If you want to see oil prices go to $150 a barrel ... all you have to do is break up our relationship with Saudi Arabia,; Mr Trump said last week. In a recent statement, Trump also defended its position of standing behind Saudi Arabia by claiming the kingdom serves as a stronghold against Iran. 'They have been a great ally in our very important fight against Iran,'. 'The US expressed to remain a strong partner of Saudi to ensure the interests of their country, Israel and all other partners in the region. 'It is our paramount goal to fully eliminate the threat of terrorism throughout the globe' he added.

7. President Trump came under fire for suggesting on November 20 that Saudi Crown Prince MBS 'had knowledge' about Journalist Khashoggi's murder and saying that the US would remain a strategic partner for the Saudi despite the ongoing scandal. He noted that it would be foolish to end weapons exports contract with the kingdom.

8. Turkish investigators claim that a group of 15 perpetrators, who arrived in Istanbul, Turkey not long before the incident, was responsible for the killing. Turkey also shared audio evidence of the murder with several Western States including the US.
