Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s much-talked-about secret wedding and grand receptions might be over but the power couple is still making headlines, courtesy some throwback pictures from their marriage ceremonies. Newlyweds Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli hosted a wedding reception for their family and close friends in Delhi on 21st December, 2017 and the moment of the night was when the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi himself graced the event with his presence.

1. A picture from their Mehendi ceremony that took place in Italy has gone viral on the internet. Anushka and Virat may have wed in a secret ceremony in Italy, but they made sure everyone from the Bollywood and Cricket fraternity was a part of their two splendid celebrations that followed. For their second round of celebrations, the couple played host to a number of celebrities, and there among the superstars in attendance was none other than the King himself, Shah Rukh Khan.

2. Everything about their secret wedding on December 11, 2017, was kept a secret. The wedding took everyone by surprise as Virat and Anushka made the official announcement on their respective social media. Anushka Sharma and Indian skipper Virat Kohli later announced that they will be hosting receptions in Delhi and Mumbai and the invitations for which were innovative. Anushka and Virat chose the greetings to be set in gold on acrylic with pastel hues and floral as the theme. The invite was paired with handcrafted chocolates and truffles from a boutique along with a sapling as a memento of their ever growing love.

3. The country's hottest couple had a swell time on their honeymoon at an undisclosed location. The newly wed couple posted their very first honeymoon picture on Anushka's Instagram account. Virat and Anushka struck a loved-up pose in a snowy background that could remind one of iconic scenic locations, straight out of a romantic film. Anushka captioned it, "In heaven, literally". Virat and Anushka are setting couple goals with every update from their wedding and now with this cute honeymoon picture.

4. The newlyweds were photographed at the Delhi airport, surrounded by guards as they made their way to board their flight. Virat looked cool in all black attire and Anushka looked beautiful in a beige floral printed Salwar Kameez.

5. Anushka may claim to not have many friends in the film industry, but the actress does share close bonds with many contemporaries. Among her friends in Bollywood, Anushka can proudly claim to be on good terms with the three Khans, as she has acted in multiple blockbusters with them, especially Shah Rukh Khan, who starred in her debut film as well. Also expected at the event are Karan Johar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Ranbir Kapoor, who all happen to share good memories with the actress.

6. Anushka made her Bollywood debut in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The actress went on to act in four films opposite King Khan. Hence, it was no wonder why Shah Rukh wouldn’t miss this happy day for the world. Shah Rukh was also among the first to wish the happy couple on the official announcement of their wedding on social media.
