Process To Renew Trade License

1. Trade license renewal procedure is normal. Things have improved in recent years but it is yet to get to the level it warrants. Submit few documents along with required fees. Below is a list of required documents: 

Required Documens (Commercial Firms):

a. License Book. Provided at the time of issuance of Trade License and Chalan Book. Same as Before.

b. Rent Receipt or Ownership Proof. A Copy of Original Attested by First Class Gazetted Officer.

c. TIN Certificate. A Copy of Original Attested by First Class Gazetted Officer.

Process:
a. Submit All Required Documents.

b. Deposit the Scheduled Fees at the Designated Bank. It is to Note that City Corporation/Municipality Receives the Fees Receipt From Designated Bank and Update the Register.

  • Time : It takes 1/2 working days. However, it may take another day.
  • Fees: Depending on the nature of business, fees can range from 100.00 tk to 20,000.00 tk depending on license category. For Limited Company, license fee is determined on the basis of paid up capital. You can collect the information from City Corporation/Municipality/Union Parishad.

History: Trade License is being introduced in Bangladesh under the City Corporation Taxation Rules, 1983 . It is issued when an entrepreneur applied through the license form. You can download trade license form, Dhaka City Corporation South Here and North Here.
