Life Lessons from Sharukh's Speech at Edinburgh

Life Lessons From Shahrukh's Speech at Edinburgh University

Shahrukh
Shahrukh Khan, an Indian movie star, who has been invited time and again at various institutions from across the world where he has given profound and philosophically rich speeches that were full of wisdom. In the series, he has delivered an insightful and well worded speech at Edinburgh University on things that he learned in his life.

Few lessons are as follows:
  • If you live by your fears, everything that can possibly go wrong will go wrong. So don't let your fears become boxes that enclose you. Open them out, feel them and turn them into the greatest courage you are capable of.
  • Confusion is the route to all the clarity in the world. So it’s ok to be confused.
  • If you can't find a resolution easily, don't panic. Even disaster eventually dissolves. Be bold and brave in taking and giving decisions.
  • Embrace your own idiosyncrasies. All the most beautiful people in the world, the most creative, the ones who led revolutions, who discovered and invented things, did so. So honour your life.
  • Study hard, work hard, play harder. Don't be bound by rules. Don't hurt anybody. Never ever live somebody else's dream rather live your own dream.
  • Develop the faith in miracles of life; make all the effort you can to abide by its beauty and be sure - it won’t let you down. Utilize every resources you have been given with, your mental faculties, the ability of your heart to love and feel for those around you, your health and good fortune.
  • All the planning in the world, won’t take you where you want to get to. So never give up.
  • Our values are our values. They don’t make us any better than anyone else, at best they make us different. You have no right to imagine that your's is better than anyone else’s.
  • Give of yourself to others. And while you’re at it, make sure you realize that you aren’t doing anyone any favor’s by being kind. It’s all just to make you feel that sneaky little twinge that comes from being utterly pleased with yourself.
  • An act of goodness becomes worthless when you assign a brownie point to yourself for it, no matter how adroitly you allow yourself to do so. Regardless of how rich, successful and famous you become, don’t ever underestimate the grace that other people bestow upon you, just by being the recipients of your kindnesses.
  • If someone you love. lets you down, don’t fault yourself for not trusting him, fault yourself for not trusting your love enough to forgive his/her trespasses.
  • Don’t forget where you came from and who you really are. Be yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others.
I am certain that we can learn a lot of things from the life solutions that are stated above delivered by Shahrukh Khan in his speech at Edinburgh.. Definitely and undoubtedly these lessons are going to carry immense value for anyone's life.
