How to Get an IRC and ERC Certificate in Bangladesh

An Importer having Import Registration Certificate (IRC) and an Exporter having Export Registration Certificate (ERC) can Import and Export any permissible item without any value and quantity restrictions and without obtaining any permission from any authority.
Office of the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports provides ERC and IRC certificates. Firstly you need to collect IRC or ERC form from office of controller Import & Export, Dhaka. Then you need to deposit schedule fees at Bangladesh Bank or designated Branch of Sonali Bank.
Following documents will be required to get an Import & Export Registration Certificate:
1. Photocopy of Trade License.
2. Copy of TIN Certificate.
3. Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association (If Company).
4. Partnership Agreement with Registration Copy (If Partnership Firm).
5. Bank Solvency Certificate.
6. Main Copy of Treasury Challan (Govt Fees).
7. Three copies photograph of Owner (If Proprietorship).
8. Three copies photograph of Managing Director (If Company).
9. Membership Certificate from Chamber of Commerce and Industries or from Concern Business Association.
10. National ID/ Passport copy of Entrepreneur.
On submission of the above documents online, Office of the Chief Controller of Imports & Exports issue IRC/ERC within three hours.
